Hey Friend!
Why Hello There,
I'm Hannah
So, you've stumbled into my corner of the internet. Welcome to the chaos – I'm the mastermind behind AWOKE, or as I like to call it, my accidental brainchild born out of a world that sometimes feels like it's spinning backward. Technically, I'm British (it's true, someone has to be), but really, I consider myself a citizen of the world. My life fits into two suitcases, and I've always found that adventure is just a plane ticket away.

The Plot Thickens
Let's rewind. Early 2000s, while everyone else was jamming to Britney and Linkin Park, I was that kid with a cassette tape of The Specials, humming "Racist Friend" under my breath. It resonated, you know? Fast forward through a fashion degree that felt more like a fast track to making knickers for Ethel Austin (IYKYK) than unleashing creativity, I veered off into hospitality. Because, of course, that's the logical next step for a budding fashion revolutionary.
A World of Contrasts
I've mingled and meandered through an eclectic mix of folks worldwide, from the sunny vibes of Cape Verde to the enigmatic lands of Egypt and Jamaica. Each stop was a reality check on my privilege and a lesson in humility. Being the "waltzing in white western woman" in these tales? Not my style. I'm the foreigner, the learner, the eternally curious visitor soaking in every story and lesson.
Awakening AWOKE
Lost jobs, homes, and a bit of my sanity (we've all been there, right?) led to an epiphany during a moonlit escape from Jamaica. Life's soundtrack hit different as lyrics sparked ideas, and I thought, "What if we could wear our thoughts?" Fast forward through the blur of a system reboot, and AWOKE was no longer a side hustle but my calling – my shout into the void.
The Mission
Here's the deal: I'm not here to save the world. That white saviour complex? Not in my script.
Â
AWOKE is about igniting conversations, challenging the crap out of biases, and maybe, just maybe, bringing people together in the messiest, most beautiful way possible. I've debated in pubs, questioned everything from colonialism to why pineapple on pizza is a thing (it shouldn't be), and realized that if we're not talking, we're just part of the problem.

So, What Now?
I'm just Hannah – sarcastic, single, and a tad too inquisitive for my own good.
But AWOKE? It's us. It's the mad mix of culture, music, and the belief that fashion can be more than fabric – it can be a message, a movement, a middle finger to the status quo.
